How it works

Selling your car with Motorvate is the obvious choice. It’s quick, easy and you can be assured that we’ll find the best price for your motor. The process is simple and our experts are on hand to help you through any worries. We’ll handle everything, leaving you more time to do… well, anything you want!

1. Enter your reg

Simply enter your cars registration and we will automatically find the cars make and model. Add the mileage and any additional specs. The more information you can give, the better. This will allow our experts to make an accurate valuation.

2. Get your valuation

One of our valuation experts will get in touch with you to further discuss the car, your timeframe for selling it, and any other information that might be useful. We will then manually compare the market to give you an accurate estimate for how much we can get for your car. We don’t use any computer models, every valuation we do is carried out by a dedicated specialist.

3. We find a buyer

This is where we shine. We approach our network of dealers and negotiate on your behalf, getting competing offers from multiple dealers to achieve the best possible price. We don’t just advertise your car and wait for the offers to come in, we actively work to get you the most money possible. All the dealers we work with have been hand-picked by us because of their outstanding reputations. No time wasters here.

4. Accepting your offer

Our unique system means we can get you a higher price for your car than other websites or part exchanges at main dealers. After negotiating with our network of dealers we will come back to you with the best price offered. If you are happy with it we will inform the dealer that you would like to accept the deal.

5. Payment & Collection

At this stage, the approved dealer will contact you to arrange a suitable time for collection and payments (via BACS transfer). They will work to your schedule and you don’t have to hand over the keys and paperwork until you’ve been paid.
